Oct 21 2010 by Daniel Mckenzie, Runcorn and Widnes Weekly News

A WIDNES-BASED logistics firm has achieved an internationally recognised mark of quality.

The Courier Post Ltd, based on the Sunset Business Centre, Waterloo Road, has been awarded ISO 9001:2008 status, establishing it as a leading business in the haulage industry.

The independent assessment was conducted by the British Assessment Bureau, a leading certification body and demonstrates Courier Post’s commitment to customer service and quality in delivery.

Courier Post has now earned the right to display the coveted British Assessment Bureau Quality Shield and ISO 9001:2008 logo to demonstrate its conformance to the standard.

The award requires organisations to have a quality management system in place to ensure consistency and improvement; leading to high levels of performance and customer satisfaction

Certified organisations are committed to continuous improvement and are assessed annually to ensure progress is being maintained.

Courier Post director Graham Hayes said: “We are particularly pleased to have achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification as it underlines our commitment to our customers and our focus on quality.

“Not many customers get to see their suppliers’ ‘back-office’ activities. This recognition demonstrates we can provide a quality solution from quotation to delivery.”

Courier Post Ltd has more than 10 years experience within the same day courier industry and has grown steadily from its formation in 2000.

Courier Post offers a secure, on-demand collection of any item delivered same day, to anywhere in the UK and Europe.
